Living in the Dream
I felt In The Dream Machine (& didn't want it to end!)
For the last couple of months, there’s been a new Temporary Museum in Williamsburg. Museum might not be the correct world, it’s more of full sensory experience , or as I call it, a journey to your own personal Instagram Mecca!
First Thing: You need to buy the tickets online on their official website https://www.showclix.com/event/dream-machine - You will see that they have timed-entries only, so you need to be there at that choosen time. The Exhibit itself is timed as well, they say it will last around 45 minutes.
Getting There: The Dream Machine is located a 5-minute walk from the Bedford Ave Subway Stop (L Train) or alternatively you can ride the East River Water Taxi from / to the North Williamsburg Pier.
The Experience: You need to check-in at the time written on your ticket (or as they suggest online within the first 20 minutes of your time slot.) Once you get there and show the tickets, you will probably wait in line for about 10 minutes (at least this was my experience,) you will then be dived into groups, and with one of the Museum experts, you will start the Experience by walking from room to room. There are about 6 themed rooms connected by themed hallways that will make the Exhibit flow just like a dream. In each room, you are given a set-amount of time and then you will be asked to move to the next one.
Cotton Candy Room
The Bubble Room
A nice black-and-white Corridor with a Chair that looks like a Private Library
The Cotton Candy Laundromat with a Secret Room! (Ask to see it ;-)
The Monochromatic Blue Ball Pit (where I so famously fell & couldn't stand up!)
A nice corridor with changing Neon Lights
The Garden Room
The “It was all a dream” room with metallic streamers
After the Experience: Make sure to sign the Chalk-board with your name and leave a few lines for the other dreamers! Williamsburg is such great spot for restaurants and bars, so you can continue your adventure outside.
