New York City & The Colors of Spring
Let's not downplay it, Spring took a while to show her face in New York City. We had snow well into March and early April, but like anything that is worth the wait, Spring made its appearance in full swing!
I spent the past 3 weeks documenting the different Cherry Blossoms, Tulips, Magnolias, Callery Pears, Crabapples, Eastern Redbuds, all blooming around this dear concrete jungle of ours.
From the first white blossoms of the Weeping Cherry Trees to the deep hues of pink & violet of the Kanzan Japanese Cherry Trees to the yellow Magnolia flowers and more; as always Spring knows how to leave you speechless.
I tried to cover different areas from the obvious Central Park, Madison Square Garden and Roosevelt Island to some hidden gems around Long Island City, Liberty Island and downtown FiDi.
We always think New York is so "compacted" but anywhere we look there is always a young and thriving tree reaching high in the Sky. From the big city parks to the community gardens, we have plenty of outdoors space we can enjoy.
Here below are some of my favorite Snaps I've taken so far, and some of my favorite (sometimes coveted) spots.
Put you sunglasses on, get your phone, and get out -- New York in its most spectacular setting is awaiting you!
